Dock on macOS shows only one application icon of a running program although this program is opened in multiple windows. So it is complex to find the window is behind the using window on the display. In this post, two methods are introduced that you find the hidden windows easily and quickly.
Swipe the trackpad upwards with 3 fingers
When you swipe the trackpad upwards, then all stacks of running programs are shown. You can select the wanted window in the stack of the program.
Short cut
This second method is easier and faster than swiping the trackpad. First, a window of the program you want to switch the window has to be opened. And press the backquote "`" while holding down the command key.

Then you can see that windows are switched every you press the backquote (`) while holding down the command key.
